I'm not sure if this qualifies for "Bad Wax" but, last night when I was out with my friends, I told my wife to pick up some cards for me. She picked up 2 packs of UD 2008. I have been a Topps and Fleer guy for most of my life, but lets see what happens!

Pack 1:

Hank Blalock - #217
I've been expecting a lot since he hit a homerun of Gagne to win the All-Star game. I'm still waiting. He has been really ordinary or injured for the last 3 years.

Brian Bruney - #295
Blah!

John Buck - #256
I'm not too familiar with Buck, but he seems like he could be the next Rick Wilkins. I consider him to be a strong buy. Invest now!
P.S. Available for trade.

Adam Wainwright - #61
I'm not sure why this guy is so good. He never impressed me when he faced the Cubs, and his SO ratio is that great. Cardinals suck.

Freddie Bynum - #178
The stars are getting too bright for my eyes!!

Dmitri Young - #167
This pack feels heavy, and my foot may have fallen off.

Jared Burton - #233
He displays some of the worst facial hair I've ever seen on the back of this card. Is he good enough for Dusty's bullpen? YES. Would I have a beer with him? ONLY IF HE BUYS!

Aaron Heilman - #155
Good pitcher, boring.

Boof Bonser - #272
Booooof!!!! Whenever analysts mention Boof they bring up the trade w/ SF which brought him to MN with Joe Nathan and Franchise Liriano. UD did the same. CREATIVE!! Boof isn't as big of a B***h as A.J.

Sean Casey - #267
The mayor has lost everyone's vote. It's time for him to drop out of the race.

Jesse Litsch - #33
Yaaaaawwwwwn.

Matt Cain - #111
Yes! Finally a good player. Too bad the Giants offense should be playing slow-pitch softball.

Mike Lowell - #228
Theo bought low w/ this throw in. Good player. If he was more charismatic, he'd get more recognition.

Ryan Hannigan (RC) - #317
I have no ideas.

Clay Buchholz (Season Highlights) - #384
I smell bust. Anyone else feel this way?

Albert Pujols - #357
I'm awake now! 2nd best hitter in the game. Looks like he's dropping one out of his Pujols on this card. My elbow hurts from typing so much.

Rob Johnson (RC) - #321
Spike strips.

Hanley Ramires (Starquest) - SQ17
Very ugly insert, very good player.

I will grade this at 1 star. Two good cards out of 18? That doesn't cut it when you have an ugly insert. Topps is way better.

This analysis is really difficult. I respect anyone who can do this everyday. Nevertheless, I think this new release could hold it's own w/ any "Bad Wax". I going to post two packs this morning but I'll wait until later for the other.
